I have made some important changes to the configs for both of our Left 4 Dead servers, so if you enjoy playing on them, please read! First, the important stuff: sv_search_key is no longer used! I have removed this entry from our server.cfg file. It makes it so that our server is a private server that can only be connected to by a lobby leader who has the same search key specified in their configs. Our servers are now able to be used by pubbers. If you now wish to connect to our L4D or L4D2-Demo server, then you must use the new mm_dedicated_force_servers cvar. For Left 4 Dead 1: Open or create a file in: Code: c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\left 4 dead\left4dead\cfg\autoexec.cfg or c:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\left 4 dead\left4dead\cfg\autoexec.cfg Add this line to the file: Code: mm_dedicated_force_servers 216.52.148.73:27015 For Left 4 Dead 2 Demo: Code: c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\left 4 dead 2 demo\left4dead2\cfg\autoexec.cfg or c:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\left 4 dead 2 demo\left4dead2\cfg\autoexec.cfg Add this line to the file: Code: mm_dedicated_force_servers 216.52.148.73:27016 With those files created, your game will check to see if you can play on our servers first. I have also updated the servers to pull up our new logo for the 'hosted by' banner and have added a much more noticeable version of our tf2 server MOTD, complete with rules and contact info. Unfortunately, these are being hosted on my cruddy linux server, which does not automatically come back up after a power failure, and is hosted on my DSL connection. This is temporary, as hopefully we'll get these uploaded to our webhost soon, but I don't have ftp access, so I just put it somewhere that I could pull it up and test it.
