Nah, we can say fag all we want without being autobanned for it. Usually I warn someone once, and after that I kick them. They come back & say it again, I ban em.
I don't care that he's shit talking. But when you suck balls at the game AND shit talk other players? Common. You aren't pro, I would know.
Although my time as admin is done, I feel that it's important enough to say Bow Tie has always been an issue. He never listens, and to be quite honest, he doesn't really help create a pleasant gaming environment. I mean... I still vividly remember this guy even though it has been six months since I've played. I fully support your actions Red. Shit-talking is fine when used in moderation to heckle your friends... but this guy takes it to a whole new level. If it was someone else with a cleaner history, I would question the moderating; however, Bow Tie has, since the first time I saw him on the servers, been a nuisance to both his teammates and the opposing players.
Agree with Vet. Thanks for bringing the issue(s) forward. We'd much rather hear about them and address them than let problems fester. Quite entertaining, though. You guys are certainly a talkative bunch. Way to keep the servers civil, Red!
After reading this long thread and the IRC logs that Hall posted I Agree with Vet and the others. Thanks for bring the topic up as the forums are the place to get things worked out instead of on the server and if we don't know about something we can't do anything about it.
Ok Honestly, I don't like Red a lot, but I agree with the actions taken place. Atomisk, you're supposed to be the big brother, the role model for him. If something is wrong, he's probably gonna look up to you. Do you really want him to taken on Bow tie's habits? I mean c'mon! I understand a little vulgar language, though I don't like it, but going on like he did, I think is extremely uncalled for. If he wants to try to get un-banned, there is a section for that, right? He MIGHT have a second chance, though I think he went a bit overboard and blew it to pieces. I know Atomisk, that he's your friend, but sometimes you have to know when enough is enough. You say you don't have much a social life, I can respect that, but you need your brother to get that chance at one, not making the mistakes you did, or whatever. Maybe it was better Bow-tie got banned, maybe. Maybe you completely disagree, but just stop a second and think about how he can (and possibly will) affect your brother.
