They're a bad plan. As much as I would love to say only one sniper one spy allowed per team, this just makes people want to leave when they can't play a certain class. So I just bitch about it when we have 3-4 snipers or spies.
Class limits are lame and I boycott servers with them. I don't want some jackass telling me what I can and cannot play as when I want to...
I sometimes demand the opposite and want full teams of 1 class like all snipers or all spys with dead ringers but i kinda also demand more spy medic combos so I have crazy ideas........CRAZY LIKE A FOX
Class limits don't usually work so well. I ran a server that had an Engineer limit after the Engineer update (when Wranglers put a complete and total stop to maps like Dustbowl), but removed it after a while. It gets more complaints than it does praise. People should be allowed to play whatever class they want, even if they're absolutely terrible at it (like my current preoccupation with Huntsman Sniper).
While I really do hate it when there's 4+ of any one class running around, I don't think I would want a class limit implemented.
yeah, class limits have never worked out for us, we tried implementing them back when valve released the class packs people were pissed they could not get achievements on our servers and left, not good for business. And sometimes it is fun to do a whole team scout rush or have everyone go engie in the opposite teams intel room...
