Looking for thoughts on this: I would like to do an occasional BoC Podcast where we get a few members together to talk about whatever. We could use skype and record the webcam feeds and audio. whoever decides to lead one can think of topics and then invite whoever or ask for volunteers to join in... What do you all think?
Buzz mentioned this to me, I Am down for this and look forward to running amok. We. However need topics and I'm no good at that
there is a plugin for skype that will record all the audio and video feeds from our webcams into one video, then we upload to youtube or host here
I'd like this done on a Friday or Saturday night were a few people get hammed and talk about a list of topics. Record drunk, edit sober. Topics can be member generated and be about anything.
We tried a test podcast on skype with some recording software, unfortunately if i want to record several peoples ugly mugs, i have to pay skype and there fore microsoft. Fuck that noise. Google+ hangouts support up to 8 people and have built in recording. Anyone available tonight to help me test?
Do we have one scheduled yet? Cause I need to know by when do I need to get a webcam. Apparently Vet figures I have gotten tired kicking ass on Facebook talking about politics so he has selected to make that a subject of one of our podcasts. I look forward to it
I listen to the Joe Rogan and Adam Carolla podcasts every week. I can tell you that 4 is pretty much the maximum number of people that can participate in an interesting podcast. Above that number, and everyone will be talking over each other. Especially if the participants are intoxicated. Plus, you will want the viewers to actually be able to see the split-screen. More than 4 people will turn it into a thumbnail fest.
ok, i think i found found a technology that can help us out with this: http://www.oovoo.com/HowToooVooItem.aspx?pname=HowToooVooVideoCallRecording I have used ooVoo before for class projects and it sounds like they made a bunch of improvements, we can record up to 6 video feeds and audio into an AVI file and upload to youtube or embed on the forums... The one caveat is that everyone on the call must have ooVoo installed. It is free. I would like to be able to test this out tonight. anyone want to help, hell if it works we could have our first podcast Ragsdor the Podcastinator
