We have had a bot monitoring chat on the servers for well over a year, now...maybe going on two years. After a while, we got tired of seeing all the racist bullshit going on in the servers. So, I added a function to the bot that permanently bans players if they say certain words. We have noticed that in general, the people who use these terms were being abusive to other players long before they drop the n-bomb, so we haven't ever had the notion that people were being banned unfairly. !!! THESE TWO WORDS WILL GET YOU PERMANENTLY BANNED FROM ALL OF OUR SERVERS: !!! 1: nigger 2: nigga The first one is obvious. The reason we included the second one is because the overwhelming majority of people using it were only using it because it was a way to bypass the word ban. Not only will those words get you banned, but any l33tsp34k version of those words will get you banned. The bot employs a very easily configurable matching system, similar to regular expressions, which I have set up to be pretty tightly configured to catch as many ways of spelled those words as possible. I am not going to list the different combinations here, because it would take up too much space, and encourage douchebags to find ways around it. !!! THIS DOESN'T MEAN THAT YOU CAN USE OTHER RACIST TERMS !!! We still monitor chat messages, and we will still ban you for making a comment that is meant to put down any race or religious group. The reason we haven't included all those words in the ban system is because they have not become a 'problem' yet. That doesn't mean that the word list won't change. If we see an anti-semite trend, we'll add the appropriate words to the filter, and that goes for any group. If an admin finds you using racist terms on the servers, you will be permanently banned.
