The birds are chirping. The birds are chirping, dear gods, the birds are chirping and I'm still awake. It's getting light out and I'm still awake. Neither by NyQuil nor by Advil PMs shall I be stricken down. I can only stare at my ceiling in the dark for so long before I start wondering how many sheep I've slaughtered in the count trying to drowse. It doesn't work. Nothing works, I cannot sleep.

Pretty crazy to think I have already been away for about 7 weeks. The train up in preparation to deploy has had it's ups and it's downs but regardless it has allowed my soldiers time to prepare for what is soon to come.

We finished our training last week and the majority of the unit flew back to Las Vegas for a little 4 day R&R, good time's I tell yah, nothing makes you appreciate home more than when you are taken away from it.

Wow time sure does fly when you have a job. I'm really missing my husband of course, but my new job is going great!!! This past weekend I had a To Do list one page long and the worst cold ever. More like a fluish cold on top of allergies...not fun :( . Meanwhile, I finally got to skype with my husband!! That was fantastic and kind of emotional. We miss each other terribly and were both kind of giddy about being able to see each other online. I think that'll help ALOT!! Anyway it's past my new ...

Well the time has come where I had to drop my husband off at the airport. We'll see each other in a few weeks before he actually leaves the Country. I've tried to remain strong. Although last night and today were extremely difficult. I do believe though that our marriage can grow stronger from this experience. Last night I babbled, today I'm keeping it short and sweet. Tomorrow I start a new job and hope it will help make time go by faster!!!
